Ungemach, Phuong-Thao Nguyen

Synopsis : Made in collaboration with local children aged six to thirteen, filmed in Ungemach—where they live—a​ garden city practically unchanged from when it was created in the 1920s. Until the 80s, only the youngest and most fertile couples were allowed to live in Ungemach—their ultimate purpose raising and producing healthy, virtuous children in an effort to repopulate Europe after the Great War. The children participated in making a film about their own lives.
